Office: Davis Centre DC2637, Email: victor.zhong@uwaterloo.ca

I am an Assistant Professor in the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, and a Canada CIFAR AI Chair at the Vector Institute. I lead the R2L Lab, which builds intelligent generalist agents that read, reason, and act across digital and physical environments. I am occasionally on Bluesky and Twitter, but email is preferred.

I am actively recruiting PhD students with research experience in machine learning and natural language processing. For openings and how to apply, see the R2L Lab. Due to volume, I cannot reply to individual inquiries; if you are curious about my advising style, see my writing.

If you are at a company interested in research collaborations, please email me directly. If you need a bio for a speaking engagement, see my speaker bio.
